A LETTER FROM THE DIRECTOR:

Well our first Samboree is behind us and if the emails and hand shakes from everyone are any indication of its success we accomplished our goal.  If there were any complaints we haven’t heard them.  The rain made it a little messy and inconvenient but that was all overcome and I think everyone had a good time.

We would of course like to thank our Staff and ASD’s for all their help and hard work, we could not have done it without them.  Also, thanks to our Chapter Presidents and their chapter members who helped out whenever and wherever they were needed.  We haven’t been to any other state’s Samboree yet but we are pretty sure that Georgia’s ranks up there as one of the best.

Our new team trivia, the chili cook off and our people search game were all off to a good start and well received so we plan to continue them at the fall Samboree with a little tweaking. We already have two additional chapters starting their own chapter websites after attending Scott Manley’s website seminar. Thank you Scott!  Georgia State Directors now hold the title of the FL/GA washer board challenge and we’re sure they are going to want revenge.  The Florida state staff is now known as the Home Depot people. 

We hope everyone had a good time and that you will plan to attend the Fall Samboree. The theme is “Tropical Luau”.  There is sure to be some grass skirts running around as well as some surprise entertainment.  Your Chapter President should have applications already and if not you can get them off the Georgia Good Sam website.

The 2009 Fall Samboree "Registrations ", are available on the website under the Samborees tab.  The RV Dealer and Vendor applications are also available under the Samboree tab on our website.  These are PDF forms can be downloaded to your computer and additional registrations can be printed for your friends.  Don't miss the CHAPTER OF THE YEAR information on the Newsletter/Thoughts from the Director tab.
